How to NOT be Successful
I am not the only one in this world who loves talking about success, successful people and what are the qualities, the secrets and the skills to have extraordinary success in life, no matter what your real definition of success is.
But in this video, I’m not going to talk about how to become as successful as Bill Gates, Elon Musk, Oprah, Ellen or Richard Branson. Today we are going to explore what are the toxic ingredients and characteristics to be a loser, to NOT be successful.
Number one: Envy
Have you ever met those people who emotionally suffer for what you’ve got in life. Who constantly exclaim “Oh, you’re so lucky!” for a new achieved goal or accomplishment. It’s so damn frustrating because they don’t have freaking idea of the enormous amount of hard work and perseverance you put into a goal, dream or personal project.
They don’t acknowledge the crappy things in your life that you had to deal with to be where you are right now.
They’re just super jealous of you, of your freedom, of your great job, of your beautiful home, and you should never trust anyone who wants what you’ve got. Friend or no, envy is an insult to oneself.
As Jim Rohn said: “The few who do are the envy of the many who only watch.”
So, here’s the lesson: Never be envious of what someone else has. You don’t know the price they paid to get it.
Number two: Chitty-Chitty Chat-Chat
“I have a big idea. I’m afraid someone will steal my idea. One day I will turn my idea into reality.”
We are all very good at talking about what we’re going to do, what we’d like to do, what we are afraid of, what our dreams are. We talk and talk and talk and do nothing about it.
Stop talking about useless shit and just do something.
There’s never been a better time, or a more urgent time, to start doing the things you want to do. Perhaps you feel your life is stuck in a rut or maybe you are on the wrong career path altogether. Or maybe you have a great idea but something is stopping you from actually getting started. Or perhaps you just want to be more successful in general without knowing exactly what you want out of life – yet!
Whatever you want to achieve, STOP TALKING and START DOING. It’s great to know you can do more, but just thinking about it, won’t make it happen. It’s doing that makes all the difference in life.
Number three: That’s my character!
“I don’t want to be like this, but I can’t do nothing about it. It’s my character!”
If your personality type is stopping you from achieving something great in life, you are in deep shit my friend.
Your personality is made up of your experiences, of your beliefs and of your overall attitude towards life. Your attitude can either push you to do great things or pull you down miserably.
Our environment, the world in which we live and work, is a mirror of our attitude, and until you won’t change it, you’ll never be able to create a successful life. And as Henry Ford said: “Whether you think you can or think you can’t, you’re right”.
So guys, if you want to know the right formula to become successful, honestly, you’re asking the wrong guy.
I don’t know. I don’t have idea because success is relative and individual and personal. Some may define success as having a lot of money in the bank, hot cars, and cool houses. Others may define success as the ability to continue what you love to do without giving up. And the truth is that there are hundreds of different ways and paths to building a successful life, but I can assure you that these three things are the secret toxic ingredients for a pretty unsuccessful life.
